Deva (Tamil: தேவா) is an Indian film composer and singer. He has composed songs and provided background music for Tamil films in a career spanning about 20 years. Many know his gaana pattu (songs in which the lyrics have little or no substance, written mostly using (Tamil: மெட்ராஸ் பாஷை, English: 'Madras Tamil'). Sivakumar refuses to give his daughter's hand to him because his brother does not have a good reputation in the village. But then he realizes that Deva, unlike his brother, is a good guy. In the end, the lovers overcome all problems and get married.
