Billa

Billa (Rajnikant) is a feared Mafia don in Madras, who is fatally wounded during an encounter with the police. Wanting to uncover Billa's accomplices, the police commissioner trains a lookalike village bumpkin to pose as Billa and infiltrate the gang. Remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Don (1978 film).

The intertwined stories of an international Don in Malaysia, David Billa, chased by the cops, an Indian police officer, a woman who wants to avenge the death of her brother, and a lowly thief, Velu who shares with Billa, an unusual connection.

Billa - A Tamil movie is now being remade in Telugu with same name starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Namitha and Krishnam Raju.It’s about a hunt of a dreaded international criminal Billa by police. The police officer with great effort corners Billa and ultimately kills him. Now, police officer sends a duplicate (Swamiranga, a small time thief) Billa look alike and tries to capture the entire group through him. Swamiranga successfully enters into the group and helps the officer to round them up. Suddenly, police officer expires and this complicates the case of Swamiranga.
