The rumours about actor-turned-producer Akkineni Nagarjuna's younger son Akhil's acting debut have been doing rounds in film nagar for quite long time, but he and his family members have denied the reports stating that he was not ready for it. Putting an end to all the speculations, the youngest clan of Akkineni family has confirmed that he is confident of making his entry in the Tollywood in 2014, but he is yet to sign his first project.
On January 1, Akhil Akkineni took to his Twitter account to offer his New Year wishes to his followers. The actor in making tweeted, "Wishing everyone a happy and safe new years eve ! Lets bring 2014 in with a smile and and make the best of it. Love to you all."
Akhil Akkineni continued, "Thank you everyone for all your wishes. A very happy new year to all of you. This is the year I have been waiting for for a long time. No dates no confirmations but this is the year I plan to make my way on to the big screen and With all your encouragement I feel confident." He added, "I will announce as soon as a project is finalised but at this point I can only say my life is only starting now! Happy new year one again:)"
It is rumoured that Akhil Akkineni will play a cameo in Telugu family-drama Manam, which features actors from three generations of Akkineni clan. But Nagarjuna rubbished all such rumours at a recent event. Akhil has reportedly undergone regressive training in acting, dance and fights.
