SS Rajamouli voted Best Telugu Director of 2012

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who is one of the most successful directors in South India, has been voted the Best Telugu Director of 2012. The Eega helmer has topped the poll survey conducted by Oneindia beating other top directors like K Raghavendra Rao, Gautham Menon, Puri Jagannath, Trivikram Srinivas and Krish.

In December, Oneindia had conducted a month-long poll survey for Best Telugu Director of 2012. Directors like SS Rajamouli, Harish Shankar, Gautham Menon, Puri Jagannath, Trivikram Srinivas, Krish, Srinivasa Reddy and K Raghavendra Rao, who have made some best films in 2012, were nominated for the No 1 position.

In the Oneindia poll survey, thousands of readers have cast their votes for their favourite directors. Finally, it was SS Rajamouli, who has been chosen as the Best Telugu Director of 2012. Others like Harish Shankar, Gautham Menon, Puri Jagannath and Trivikram Srinivas made it to top five list, while Krish, Srinivasa Reddy and K Raghavendra Rao stayed away from the list.

SS Rajamouli

Most of the movies of SS Rajamouli have become successful both critically and commercially. In 2012, the director had single release like Eega, which also got him both critical and commercial success. It is one of the Blockbuster of the year. For his work in the film, he has bagged 49.5% votes from our readers.

Harish Shankar

Harish Shankar, who was waiting for a big break, has struck gold with his single release Gabbar Singh, which has become the highest grosser of all time. Besides its commercial success, the movie, which is a remake of Salman Khan's Dabangg, has won lot of accolades to the director. In our poll survey, he has landed in the second place with 18.9%.

Gautham Menon

Gautham Menon, who is another critically acclaimed director in Telugu, has released Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu in 2012. The movie has had both critical and commercial success. The director has been raved for his work in it. In our poll survey, he has become the third Best Telugu Actress of 2012 with 8.8% votes.

Puri Jagannath

In 2012, Puri Jagannath had three big releases like Devudu Chesina Manushulu, Business Man and Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu. While the first one was an average grosser, the remaining two were big hits at the Box Office. In our survey, he has been chosen as the fourth Best Telugu Actress of 2012 with 7.2 votes.

Trivikram Srinivas

In 2012, Trivikram Srinivas has released his much-hyped movie Julayi, which has become big hit at the Box Office. In our survey, he has landed in the fifth place with 7% votes.
