The winners of 60th South Filmfare awards have been announced at a grand ceremony held at the International Convention Centre in Hyderabad on Saturday night. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's Blockbuster Telugu movie Eega has swept the 60th Filmfare awards ceremony by winning five coveted awards like Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting actor and Best VFX in the Telugu language category.

Eega was adjudged as the best film of year, while SS Rajamouli walked away with the Best Director award. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has bagged the Best Actress gong for her performance in the film, while her co-star Kiccha Sudeep won Best Actor in a Supporting role award. The movie, which was lauded for its breathtaking visual effects, also won Best VFX award.

Telugu action-drama Gabbar Singh occupied second place with three awards: Best Actor for Pawan Kalyan, Best Music Director for Devi Sri Prasad and Best Playback Singer (male) for Vaddepalli Srinivas for the song 'Pilla'. Anantha Sriram won Best Lyricist for his song 'Yedhi Yedh' from the film Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu, while Suchitra pocketed Best Playback Singer (female) award for the song Sarocharu from Businessman.

Amala Akkineni, who made a comeback to the big screen with Telugu college-drama Life is Beautiful, won Best Actress in a Supporting Role award. In the technical department, Best Cinematographer award was won by Chota K Naidu for Telugu socio-fantasy Damarukam and Jani won Best Choreographer award for the song 'Dillaku Dillaku' from Telugu action-drama Racha. Veteran Telugu filmmaker Sathiraju Lakshmi Narayana aka Bapu was presented the Lifetime Achievement award along with singer Vani Jairam.

Samantha

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu seemed to be super excited to receive the Best Actress award. Talking to the media, the Eega star said, "Filmfare has always recognised true talent and artists get the push they need when they are recognised."

Nagarjuna And Nag Chaitanya

Nagarjuna, who was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in Damarukam, attended the 60th South Filmfare Awards ceremony with his son Nag Chaitanya. His wife Amala won Best Supporting Actress for her acting in Life is Beautiful.

Ram Charan Teja

Ram Charan Teja was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in Racha, which had won five nods, but bagged only one. The actor attended the 60th South Filmfare Awards sans his wife.

Rana Daggubati

Rana Daggubati attended the the 60th South Filmfare Awards ceremony hoping that his movie Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, which was nominated in few categories, would bag a couple of awards. But the film disappointed him as it hardly won any award on the occasion.

Devi Sri Prasad

Devi Sri Prasad, who graced the 60th South Filmfare Awards ceremony, walked away with Best Music Director award for his work in Gabbar Singh.

Baba Sehgal With His Wife

Bollywood singer and rapper Baba Sehgal has composed several hit numbers in Telugu in recent years. Although he was not nominated for the 60th South Filmfare Awards, he made sure that he attends the event with his wife.

Priyamani

Priyamani, who attended the 60th South Filmfare Awards ceremony, walked away with the Best Actress award for her performance in Kannada movie Charulatha.

Charmi Kaur

Actress Charmi Kaur was present at the 60th South Filmfare Awards. She was looking very hot in her black gown.

Regina Cassandra

Actress Regina Cassandra was present at the 60th South Filmfare Awards. She was looking stunning in her green gown.

Bhoomika Chawla

Bhoomika Chawla, who is making her comeback to Tollywood with Alivelu Manga, attended the 60th South Filmfare Awards ceremony. She was last seen as Professor in Telugu movie Thakita Thakita.

Kriti Kharbanda

Kriti Kharbanda, who rocked the viewers with her glamour in Ongale Gita and Om 3D, also attended the 60th South Filmfare Awards ceremony.
