The division of Andhra Pradesh has badly affected Telugu film industry with several big-budget movies postponed uncertainty. Ram Charan Teja's highly-awaited movie Yevadu is one of those movies, which was affected by the current political scenario in the state. Now, the Samaikyandhra movement in the Seemandhra region has further delayed the release of the film, which is now postponed to October.
Ever since the UPA Government announced its decision to split the state, the normal life has been paralysed in 13 districts across the Seemandhra region. The public transport has remained off the road and over four lakh government employees going on an indefinite strike in protest against the bifurcation. Various forms of protests like hunger strike and rallies have closed down cinema halls, petrol bunks, educational institutions, shops and other establishments.
The Samaikyandhra supporters are very upset with Megastar and Union Minister Chiranjeevi, who hails from West Godavari district. They are demanding his resignation. They have even threatened to boycott the movies of the heroes from the Mega family. So the makers of Yevadu, who are afraid of suffering huge losses, have decided to delay its release, until everything gets cooled down in the state.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Yevadu was to hit the screens on July 31, but producer Dil Raju, who has shelled out Rs 35 crores on the movie, sensed the heat of the impending Samaikyandhra movement and postponed its release to August 21, a public holiday for Rakhi Pournami. Mega family member Allu Arjun's Arya 2 is the best example for the Telangana activists' target. Telangana movement broke out a week after the release of Arya 2, which suffered severe setback at ticket windows in the Nizam area.

Producer Dil Raju was the distributor of Arya 2 for Nizam area. Due to the Telangana agitation, the distributor reportedly lost Rs 1.50 crore from the movie.

Since he has shelled out hefty sum on the making of Yevadu, Dil Raju did not want to take any chance with the movie. He predicted the Samaikyandhra movement much in advance before the Govt announced the bifurcation of the state and postponed the release of the movie.

The timeline for the creation of the new state Telangana involves an elaborate process and it has been allotted 122 days or at least four months. But Samaikyandhra movement has continued, forcing Dil Raju to postpone the release of Yevadu again.
Release Of Series Of Big Budget Films
A series of big-budget films Attarintiki Daredi, Bhai, Gol Maal, Ramayya Vastaavayya and few others are slated to hit the screens back to back. Dil Raju reportedly found it difficult to release Yevadu in near future.
Unavailability Of Theatres For Yevadu
Insiders from the industry claim that besides Samaikyandhra movement, Dil Raju also faced unavailability of theatres. So he has planned to release Yevadu on October 11.
Lead Actors In Yevadu
However, Ram Charan Teja will be seen romancing two popular South Indian actresses like Shruti Hassan and Amy Jackson in Yevadu. Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal are also playing cameo roles in the movie.
Ace cinematographer Shyam K Naidu has cranked the camera for Yevadu and its trailer shows that the film is going to be a visual treat. Devi Sri Prasad has composed music for the songs of both films. His soundtracks have got very good response from the music lovers.
Yevadu Fate At Box Office
With Yevadu set to release on August 21, now the question are: Will the movie do well at Box Office? Will both Seemandhra and Telangana accept it? Will the distributors from both region earn profits? Only time will answer all these questions.
