Hyderabad: Actress Priyamani has won the hearts of many youngsters with her glamour. Of late, the Panch Bhashya star is set to go in for a complete make-over for her latest movie Chandi, which is directed by V Samudra. She attended the muhurat of the movie wearing the blue sari and she was looking like Sonia Gandhi. Soon after the function the speculation were made that she playing the Congress leader.

Reports suggest that the story of Chandi revolves around life of a reluctant woman, who is forced to enter politics to save her elder brother's political party after his mysterious death. When asked about whether the movie is a bio-pic on Sonia Gandhi, V Samudra says that it is political thriller and he has drawn inspiration from her.

Sources from the Telugu film industry claim that it is the story of Sonia and her husband Rajiv Gandhi. But the director has changed her late husband's character into her brother. However, Samudra says that Chandi is a fictional revenge drama revolving around political rivalry. The movie is all about to what extent politicians go to grab power and how an upright woman politician checkmates them.

The muhurath of the movie Chandi was held in the last week of January, 2013 and the producers of the film had ogranised a grand event for it at Ramanaidu Studios at Hyderabad. Several celebrities like Dasari Narayana Rao, D Ramanaidu, Sunil, G Srinubabu, CJ Shobha Rani and others graced the event.
