Playback singer Chinmayi Sripada, who is also a popular voice over artist in Tollywood, is now all set to tie the knot with Telugu actor Rahul Ravindran, who hogged the limelight with SS Rajamouli's maiden production Andhala Rakshasi. Both the singer and actor have confirmed the news about their impending marriage. They say that their wedding would take place in the first quarter of 2014.

It was Chinmayi's mother T Padmhasini, who is also a singer, first broke the news about Chinmayi and Rahul's marriage on her micro-blogging account. The musicologist, who taught her daughter Carnatic music and Hindustani classical music, tweeted, "I am extremely happy to announce that @23_rahulr is my son-in-law to be. :)"

Later, Chinmayi also took to her Twitter page to respond to the quires of her followers. She wrote, "@23_rahulr "@Badasaar: For those who's wondering about @Chinmayi's would be - He is Andala rakshasi fame. His age is 32, not 23. ;-)" It is a love-cum-arranged marriage for the singer. She added, "@GoodBoy_Andhra colleague. Friends. And then decided to date. Then parents decided we must marry :p"

Meanwhile, Rahul Ravindran took to his Twitter page to silence the rumours about his wedding date. He tweeted, "Thanks you all for the warm wishes:)And just to clarify..The wedding will be sometime early next year..Not next week:)Will keep u all posted."

Chinmayi's Music Training

Born on September 10, 1984 in Mumbai, Chinmayi comes from Musical family. Her mother T Padmhasini taught her Carnatic music and Hindustani classical music. She received the CCRT Scholarship for Young Talent for Carnatic Music from the Government of India at 10.

Chinmayi's Debut On Small Screen

She won the gold medal from All India Radio for Ghazals in 2000 and the Silver for Hindustani Classical Music in 2002. But it was her stint on Sun TV's singing reality show Saptasawarangal, which brought her much-needed popularity and offers from the film industry.

Chinmayi's Entry Into Films

Following her victory on Saptasawarangal, singer Srinivas introduced her to Oscar winning musician AR Rahman, who roped her for the song 'Oru deivam thanta poove' for the film Kannathil Muthamittal.

Chinmayi Is Polyglot

Then onwards there is no look back for this polyglot, who speaks Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English and German fluently. After her debut in Rahman's film, she was flooded with several offers from Tamil, Telugu, Tulu and Malayalam films and she was successful in winning the heart of music lovers in all these languages.

Chinmayi's Bollywood debut

In 2005, she made her Bollywood debut with the song 'Holi re' in Aamir Khan's film Mangal Pandey. But she garnered more recognition with her songs like 'Tere bina' and 'Mayya' in the Abhishek and Aishwarya starrer movie Guru. She also ventured into Kannada with the song 'Beda beda' in 2007.

Chinmayi's Contribution To Tollywood

She is considered as one of the most popular singers in Tollywood. She has crooned several songs for Telugu movies like Kadali, Snehituda, Endukante... Premanta!, Pilla Zamindar, Ye Maaya Chesave, Mrogindi and a few others and many of them have become chartbusters.

Chinmayi - A Popular Voice Actor

Chinmayi is also a voice actor in the South Indian film industry. In 2006, she first dubbed for Bhumika Chawla for the Tamil film Sillunu Oru Kadhal. Later, she has dubbed for several lead actresses like Tamanna Bhatia, Sameera Reddy, Samantha, Trisha Krishnan and Amy Jackson. She has won the Nandi Award for Best Female Dubbing Artist for Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010.

Chinmayi's Voice-Over For Ads

She has given her voice for several TV ads. She has dubbed for The Chennai Silks, Head and Shoulders and Colgate Active Salt, Sabeena Citrus Plus, Sri Devi Textiles, Saffola Masala Oats, Estancia, Sri Devi Silks, AVR Swarnamahal Elite Gallery, Saravana Stores and Dheepam Oil.

Chinmayi - As A TV Presenter

Chinmayi has served as a TV presenter in the first and third seasons of Airtel Super Singer on STAR Vijay and the first season of Airtel Super Singer Junior. She was also a radio jockey on Aahaa FM 91.9 on a breakfast show titled Aahaa Kaapi Klub. Later, she began compering Star Plus' Chhote Ustaad.

Chinmayi - The CEO Of Blue Elephant

Chinmayi serves as the CEO of Blue Elephant, a translation services company she founded in August 2005. The company has ever since been the language service provider for various Multinational companies like Scope E Knowledge, Ford, Dell, Ashok Leyland, Reliance India, to name a few. She received an award from SAARC Chamber for Women Entrepreneurship for Excellence in a niche industry for Blue Elephant in 2010. In 2011, she became the first ever woman entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu to be selected for the prestigious FORTUNE/U.S. State Department Global Women's Mentoring Partnership Program.

Rahul's Debut In Films

Chinmayi's would-be Rahul Ravindran is one of the hottest hunks in South Indian film industry. He entered into film industry with the Tamil movie Moscowin Kavery. Later, he has starred in movies like Vinmeengal and Soorya Nagaram. He is now working on his fourth Kollywood film Vanakkam Chennai.
