Attarintiki Daredi Pirated DVDs: Police Raid Shops

Producer BVSN Prasad is successful in taking control over the alleged piracy of movie Attarintiki Daredi, which was leaked online on Sunday night. He had registered a case with the police officials, who have raided shops in Hyderabad on Monday and seized pirated CDs and DVDs of this Pawan Kalyan and Samantha starrer Telugu action-drama. He has also stopped the film from being spread on net.

Talking about Attarintiki Daredi piracy, a police official told IANS, "We raided several CD and mobile servicing shops since morning and have seized pirated discs of the film. The shopkeepers have been selling the disc for Rs 50. We have taken them into custody and we are conducting raids throughout the state." He added, "The first copy of the film was sold in Pedana town near Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. It was circulated to the neighbouring districts as well."

On Sunday, 90-minute footage of the film Attarintiki Daredi was released online. Following the leak, producer BVSN Prasad had filed a police complaint. The official spokesperson of the film said, "He pressed for immediate action against all those involved in the piracy. A special team has been assigned to raid the CD shops."

Directed by Trivikram, Attarintiki Daredi, which was originally scheduled to release on Aug 9, will release in theatres this Friday (September 27). BVSN Prasad First Approached APFCC

Soon after he got the information about the leak of Attarintiki Daredi, BVSN Prasad approached Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce (APFCC). The officials from APFCC got into action immediately.

APFCC Officials' First Step To Stop AD Piracy

APFCC officials sent out message to all the Tollywood stars and asked them to request their fans not to buy or download the pirated version of the movie Attarintiki Daredi. They also requested them to send the information about AD piracy to their official email ids ad@apfilmchamber.com and legal@apfilmchamber.com

Telugu film industry is known for its inner differences. Interestingly, the scene was different in Tollywood early morning on Monday. All Telugu stars decided to come together to stop piracy once for all.

Celebs' Request To Fans

Several Telugu directors, producers, actors, actresses took to their Twitter and Facebook pages to request their fans not to watch the pirated version of Attarintiki Daredi. They even posted official phone numbers and email ids of APFCC and asked them to send information about AD piracy if they came either online or offline.

Fans Help AD Bosses To Stop Piracy

Millions of Telugu movie buffs spread their favourite hero's message on social networking sites. Within hours the anti-piracy slogan went viral and many sent information to APFCC officials through the email.

APFCC Traces AD Leak In USA

On the other side, APFCC officials were successful in tracing that the 90-minute video of Attarintiki Daredi, which was leaked in California, US. Immediately, they sought the help of the cyber department to take necessary action immediately.

Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind's Support BVSN Prasad

Noted producers like Suresh Babu and Allu Aravind spent the entire day with BVSN Prasad at the APFCC and helped the producer from sorting out the issue by the end of the day. They are also said to have helped to make some arrangement for AD release this Friday.

Jr Ntr Supports Pawan Kalyan

Meanwhile, Power Star Pawan Kalyan was also actively involved in this operation against the piracy of Attarintiki Daredi. Interestingly, Junior NTR was there to support him.

CCD Issues Notice To Media Fire

The miscreants had released Attarintiki Daredi on Media Fire. Cyber Crimes Department has issued an official notice to this website. Meanwhile another website - Aiplex spreading the video online. The producers were successful in taking down the pirated links.

AD Set To Release On September 27

At the end of the day, BVSN Prasad held a press conference with Burugupalli Sivarama Krishna and others to make an official announcement about the release of Attarintiki Daredi, which will hit the screens on September 27.
