Rediff - Radhika Rajamani's Review
SS Rajamouli's Eega, sans superstars is technically brilliant and entertaining to watch. Eega is a film for the family. Rajamouli surely delivers a winner. Don't miss it!
Times of India - Karthik Pasupulate's Review
This movie makes mince meat of the cliche by showing that small can be big too. Come to think of it very few things can get bigger than a housefly on 70mm, but what's fascinating is that the movie shows a computer-generated-housefly can have pretty much the same effect on the audiences as a rippling superstar.
Oneindia - Ramana's Review
As Ram Gopal Varma predicted, the film will definitely collect Rs 100 crore. The film, which has been made with Hollywood standards, will mesmerize audiences of all age groups and classes. It is a must watch film. Watch it to enjoy Rajamouli's graphical wonder.
India Glitz's Review
Rajamouli has made a clever balancing act. One may say that half the film was for kids and the other half was for the adults. Apart from Shankar, not many have achieved this kind of marriage in film making. Not many here can do this kind of film at a cost of Rs 30 cr. While the story packs in a punch, and there was no danger of the film falling into the trap of an eerie animation or a fairy tale. Eega is no escapist fare, much less kid stuff. It is serious, sincere and cerebral.
IBN Live's Review
At a time when logic is found to be amiss in supposedly serious dramas and potboilers, SS Rajamouli has achieved something remarkable. He has made the impossible possible, without kissing goodbye to logic. The film would have well bordered on the fairy tale, but for his eye to inventive commercial cinema. Had Eega been made as merely multiplex film, it would have been injustice. The sheer scale and range of the film will awe the adults and entice the children alike.
Deccan Chronicle - BVS Prakash's Review
The genre could attract more kids than adults; had the love story between Nani and Samantha been better established the film could have expanded its viewership. Considering the creature in the film is tiny and almost invisible, a 3D version could have had a better effect. Director Rajamouli holds on to his numero uno position in T-town with another novel idea by thinking ‘out-of-the-box', an approach that could work if colleagues took a leaf out of his diary.
Super Good Movies' Review
Eega is one of the best films in recent times. It will be liked by kids. If you keep the logics aside, the movie will entertain you to the core. One of the rare films that has to be seen on big screen only. Go watch it!
