Telugu actor Navdeep, who entered Tollywood as a hero with Teja directed Telugu movie Jai in 2004, has so far acted in more than 20 movies, including some odd characters in both Telugu and Tamil. But what he has failed to achieve in his career spanning almost a decade is mass appeal. However, director Karthikeya Gopalakrishna, who is directing him in Vasool Raja, says that his latest venture will give him much-needed mass image.
The movie Vasool Raja, which was launched at Annapurna studios in Hyderabad on August 22 is now nearly done. As per reports, the climax scenes are currently being shot in the city and Navdeep, Srihari, Dandapani, Reethu Barmecha, Vijayaranga Raja, Sameer, Uttej and Rajesh are taking part in the shooting. Reports further suggest that 30% of the talkie and two songs are yet to be shot.
Vasool Raja is being produced by Battula Ratan Pandu and Mahankali Diwakar under the banner BM Studios. Chinni Charan is composing the music for the movie, which will be released by the end of this month. Krishna Prasad is cranking the camera for the film, which is likely to hit the screens in the next month.
According to Karthikeya Gopalakrishna, the film Vasool Raja is a mass entertainer and it features Navdeep in a mass role for the first time in his career. The director is very confident that the movie will be a big hit in his career and will give him the much-needed mass image.
