Intimate scenes in romantic movies have always thrilled the youths in South India. Many filmmakers in the past had several steamy scenes in their movies to woo the audience. In recent times, lip-lock scene has become a big trend in Tollywood. Several filmmakers say that the lip-kissing scenes will help to attract larger number of young film goers, which is why it is becoming a compulsory item in Telugu films.
In a bid to boost the collection of their movies at the Box Office, many Tollywood filmmakers have been urging the lead actors and actresses to do lip-kissing scenes. But initially not many stars were passionate about the idea. Of late, things have changed in the film industry and many stars do not think twice to do such sequences.
In 2004, Mahesh Babu had dared to do a kissing scene with Bollywood actress Amisha Patel in the movie Naani, which was directed by SJ Suryaah. Later, he did another lip-lock with Kajal Agarwal in the film Businessman. These scenes had created a lot of curiosity among his fans before their release.
However, several popular young actors like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Gopichand, Naga Chaitanya have come forward and made bold attempts to lock their lips with the co-stars. Actress like Kajal Aggarwal, Anushka Shetty, Amisha Patel, Samantha and few others star who have no problems in doing such scenes.
