Damarukam is not inspired from TIOM
In a recent press meet, Akkineni Nagarjuna has clarified that his most-anticipated movie Damarukam is not inspired from novel The Immortals Of Meluha. But some print and electronic media are still claiming that it is loosely inspired from Amish's novel. The actor and makers of the film are shocked to read such report even after they issued the clarification.

Ever since Damarukam hit the floor, media has been reporting that it is based on The Immortals of Meluha. After reading such reports writer Amish sent a legal notice to the makers of the film for copying his book. Finally, Nagarjuna had to give him written clarification that that his movie is completely different from his book.

Later, along with Damarukam producers, Nagarjuna held a press conference to clarify the same to media. Talking to the reports, he had said that Damarukam is neither based on The Immortals of Meluha, nor even loosely inspired from it. It has completely different and brand new story. But he is shocked and disappointed to read the reports which claim that it is inspired from The Immortals of Meluha.

However, Damarukam is directed by Srinivasa Reddy and produced by Dr Venkat under RR Movie Makers. The movie starring Nagarjuna and Anushka Shetty in leads, has got U/A certificate from the Censor Board. The film, which has 70 minutes of graphics work, is scheduled to release tomorrow (November 10). It is expected to set a new collection record at the Tollywood Box Office.
