Srimannarayana, which hit the screens across the globe on August 30, registered 80% to 100% occupancy in single screens, while it had an above average response at multiplexes. The movie has raked in Rs 8.65 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office. Its first day collection is very close on the heals of Allu Arjun's recent release Julayi, which had grossed Rs 9+ crore on day 1.
Balakrishna's previous movie Adhinayakudu, which was released on June 1, 2012, had also got good opening at the Box Office. The movie had collected Rs 7.2 crores on the first day of its release. Now, Srimannarayana has broken the first day collection of this movie. The word of mouth is likely to take forward its business on the following days.
Srimannarayana has bagged mixed reviews from film critics. Many say that this is not the regular movie of Balakrishna, and director Ravikumar Chavali has diverted from his usual way and tried to depict him a brand new way. However, this does not seem to have gone very well with Nandamuri fans as the film lacks on his regular punch dialogues.
