Samantha might be the favourite choice of many top filmmakers in Tollywood but it is not the same in Kollywood. The actress, who has hit a hat trick with three consecutive films, has been rejected by maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam for his forthcoming multilingual movie.
If reports are to be believed, Samantha gave a screen test for the upcoming movie in Chennai recently. But Mani Ratnam was not impressed by her photoshoots and decided to rethink on his planning of casting her opposite senior Tamil actor Karthik"s son Gautham, who is making his debut with the movie.
Meanwhile, she is being showered with offers in the Telugu film industry. Recently, she has signed Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu starrer film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, which is produced by Dil Raju.
