Sumanth, Priyamani and Vimala Raman starrer movie Raaj has been constantly hitting the headlines. First it was Sumanth and Priyamani's liplock scene and intimate scenes, which created furore in the Telugu film industry. Next it was Priyamani and Vimala Raman's cat fights on the sets. Adding to that the Censor Board has given 'A' certificate for the film and have told the makers to chop some scenes. However, the hot costumes of lead actresses have attracted the mass and now we have to see whether the movie has something other to offer than 'masala' element.
On the other hand, Ram Gopal Varma's low-budget movie Dongala Mutha has been in the news from the day one, when the director announced that the movie will be made with zero cost. Adding to that the movie has been shot in five days and with a unit of just 8 people and no one in this film including the actors, technicians and equipments suppliers have not been paid any remuneration. It is only after the release, they will be paid depending upon the profits and those payments will be in accordance with their individual value additions. Interestingly, the movie has been awarded clean 'U' from the Censor Board. This film has been shot on Canon 5D cameras and the audience are keen to see RGV' experiment but the movie is releasing with less number of prints.
Industry insiders say that both the movies have plus and minus points. But Sumanth's Raaj may get good opening because it is releasing with more prints and it has already attracted the mass with its commercial elements. Meanwhile, Dongala Mutha is hitting the screens with very less prints and it will only increase its copies, if the movie gets good response.
