Mahesh Babu's Dookudu has received overwhelming response from the audience. The movie, which was released last Friday, is not only doing good business in Andhra Pradesh but in neighbouring states.

According to trade reports, Dookudu has emerged as a winner at the Chennai Box Office for the September fourth week. The movie has pushed down other Tamil movies like AR Murugadoss production Engeyum Eppodhum by collecting Rs 51 lakhs last week.

While Engeyum Eppodhum managed to get Rs 45 lakhs last weekend, Dookudu garnered Rs 51 lakhs alone in Chennai. Mahesh Babu starrer film collected Rs 15.5 lakhs on the release day at Chennai Box Office.

It is a rare instance, where a Telugu film has collected more than a straight Tamil film at Chennai Box Office. Meanwhile, trade analysts predict that the film is all set to rewrite the Box Office history in the Telugu film industry.

Dookudu is nice but compared to pokiri it is average film. But further comparision to Maghadeera it is very good film. I think the timing of release of the film had added advantage because of sakala janula samme and also vacations to schools. end of the day only success matters and that is reflected by the Box office collections and the hype created by the media.
