The movie Villain, which is the dubbed version of Tamil Raavanan, has given Mani Ratnam, a sigh of relief after it got a good opening in Andhra. Its original versions Raavan and Raavanan attracted poor reviews from the critics and even audience in Bollywood and Tamil have given thumbs down for the film. But in Andhra, the film has got good response from the audience. As the result of it, the movie has already grossed Rs. 40 million in first few days.

Just before the film release, a few sections of people raised the issue that why Mani Ratnam hasn't cast a Telugu actor in the film, when he has chosen Vikram from Kollywood and Prithiviraj from Mollywood in the film. Trade analyst even went on to predict that the movie may fail in Andhra for this reason. But when the review of the film was out the results were opposite.

The performances of Vikram and Aishwarya Bachchan, cinematography of Santosh Sivan have created magic in Tollywood.

Except mounaragam, for all his work the immediate response mani got is dessection both by trader and critics. It is only after passing couple of weeks, slowly box office proves opposite and critics pen oppsite. Then it is followd by people claiming we have india's greatest director has created magic. Let us not forget the first couple of week box office result of Nayagan is no greater than Aadively which was paralally released. You know Nayagan is inda's greatest classic.

Villian is a kind of Chiranjeevi kind of film. Where is Mani Ratnam's appeal. Ash has done too much make-up that spoils the character. Vikram tried to do villain character. But then it did not shape up what exactly a negative role could offer. There is mistake in narration of the character itself and storyline is too unrealistic. Mani has miscast the character, but then mistake is not on him, story line is like that, a very poor one.

Villian gives you a visual and musical treat for you. Movies are not just about heros and heroisms. Its a platform where miracle can be created. Villain is one such. I am proud and puzzled that AP audiences have such good appreciation for art. I am proud to say that I too am from AP

Villain: 1.Visuals are great.Too good. Hats off to Manikandan and Santosh Sivan. They have taken Indian Cinema to International standards. 2.Music is superb. No doubt ARR has taken us all once again to another world with his divine music. 3.The movie shows off the effort put in by each and every actor. 4.Story: Every coin has two sides. Rama cannot always be Rama, and Ravana does not always want to be Ravana. If you want to be part of bringing in a new trend to Indian cinema where...

It only shows the poor taste of the AP audiences. I am myself from AP and seeing the success rate of D grade telugu movies nowadays, no wonder Villian has not flopped.
