The Punjabi kudi, Tamanna Bhatia receives the Shantaram Award for this year. She was rewarded the award for her performance in Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam. She played opposite to Siddharth in the movie. She is the first Soth Indian actress to receive the Award.

The movie director Kishore Kumar won the award for the debutant director category. The Shantaram awards are given to all film industries, including Bollywood. Last year bollywood movie A Wednesday won most of the awards. The director is planning to make the movie in Hindi in the banner of Raja Shri Productions and Suresh Productions.
