Venkatesh's nephew Rana Daggubati makes his debut in Telugu industry through his movie Leader, which is said to be a political drama. Rana, grandson of veteran Telugu film actor-producer D Rama Naidu and son of producer D Suresh Babu hope that the audience will accept his performance in Leader.
As a beginner, he did a lot of practice before facing the camera. He plays the role of a young politician in the film and says that his role is very intriguing and intense. He observed young leaders like like Rahul Gandhi, Milind Deora, Sachin Pilot and Jyotiraditya Scindia for his role. Former Miss India Richa Gangopadhyay and Priya Anand play the female leads.
