Speaking on the occasion, Dasari said, "Krishna was a role model for many artistes of this generation. He used to work for three shifts when he was in his prime age. But the present generation heroes work only for one film and soon after the shooting they leave abroad to relax on the pretext of enjoying the success of their movies. We know how many movies really taste success. The heroes should work for at least three films per year. They should understand the position of small-time artistes as well. Vijayanirmala is an efficient director and she was also the heroine of my debut film Tata Manavadu. I wish the film would give her a big hit."
Krishna said, "The film is based on 'Vala', a novel penned by Bollimunta Nageswara Rao. I am playing an advocate's role. We want to debate that 'death sentence' is unjustified and inhuman. At the same time, the film has lots of commercial elements, besides suspense, crime and family sentiment."
