Actor Aravind swallowed mud for 16 Days
Glamorous doll Charmi"s forthcoming heroine-oriented bilingual 16 Days in Telugu and Laadam in Tamil, directed by Prabhu Solomon, produced by P. Mahesh Babu and D. Nageswara Rao under the banner of Cosmos Entertainment, will grace theatres on February 20. Debutant Aravind, co-director of ace Mani Ratnam, is the hero.

The film revolves around an incident that takes place within 16 days. The hero and heroine fall in love within 16 days and something unexpected happens on the last day. Charmi plays the character of a girl named Angel. Charmi imitating Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vijaykanth, Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja, Suneela and others is one of the highlights of 16 Days.

When it comes to Tamil, Laadam is the first heroine-orientated Tamil film by Charmi, who has done a couple of female lead roles in Telugu. She feels it is the biggest role in her career till date. She is counting on Laadam to make a comeback to Kollywood; she had acted in Kadhal Azhivathillai and Kadhal Kisu Kisu five years ago.

Aravind is the hero who pokes his nose into unnecessary matters and ends up getting beaten up. He has sustained more than 30 actual injuries during the shooting, as the stunt scenes were shot without a dupe. According to the director, Aravind broke his leg, injured his head, suffered severe bruises all over his body and even suffered gastroenteritis when he inadvertently swallowed some mud while filming a stunt scene in a slushy area! It is said that the film was delayed because of his injuries.

The story and screenplay are by its director Prabhu Solomon. Followed by the grand success of his musical albums 'Paarijaatham' and 'Sivi', Dharan has scored music for the film. Bhaskarabhatla wrote the lyrics. The support cast comprises Kota Srinivasa Rao, Dheeraj Kher and Babu Antony (in Telugu) Manorama, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and Chitti Babu (in Tamil). The film will be released by Kad Entertainments and Suresh Productions in overseas markets.
