Shweta Menon acted in the Malayalam film Tantra. B. Nagaraju of Sitarama Films has dubbed the film into Telugu, retaining the same name. It is worth mentioning here that the banner had earlier also dubbed the Tamil film Tirupati with Ajith in the lead and this is their second dubbed venture.

Giving details about the film, the producer said, 'The film has several elements like suspense, horror and glamour. Story value is also good. Hence we dubbed it into Telugu.'

Writer Jayaprasad says, 'It is the story of a sorcerer who captures souls and tries to lure people with their help. How Shweta Menon and Aravindan tackle the sorcerer forms rest of the story.'

Siddique and Aiswarya play key roles in the movie.
