Nitin is badly in need of a big hit. Though his recent project Hero did fairly well, it was not a hit as expected. Nitin is now acting in Drona opposite Priyamani produced by D.S. Rao and directed by Kumar, S.S. Rajamouli's apprentice.

Priyamani, who is now a top heroine of both Telugu and Tamil films, is following the beaten path and is rumoured to have agreed to don a bikini in Drona as the 'story demands it'. The buzz is that Priyamani has already shot for a steamy song sequence in this tantalizing costume along with another hot song picturised on her at Lahari Resorts near Hyderabad.

At present, Nitin is doing a film with Paruchuri Murali opposite sexy Ileana. The film has been tentatively titled Local.
