Shooting of Avakaya Biryani produced by Sekhar Kammula under the banner of Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd introducing Anish Kuruvilla as director and Kamal Kamaraju and Bindu Madhavi as hero and heroine was completed recently. Producer said, "For the first time, I am producing a film in other's direction. Earlier, Anish used to take up several responsibilities for many of my films right from my Dollar Dreams. This time, he did everything on his own without my involvement with complete freedom, especially in the story and direction departments. Moreover, he has chosen new technicians for his film other than my unit. Presently re-recording is in progress. It is a love story with rural backdrop between an auto driver of a six-seater and a girl who sells pickles (avakaya). Most of the artistes are also new faces. A major part of the film was shot in and around Vikarabad. On the whole, it is a film along the lines of Malgudi Days with complete village backdrop." Director Anish said, "It is a new wave feel-good romantic drama. I thank the producer, who had complete faith in me and my team. I did the movie with utmost freedom. I am sure that the film would attract all classes of audiences." The producer is planning to launch the audio on October 10 and release the film in the first week of November. Rao Ramesh, Kameswara Rao, Praneet, Durgesh, Varun Jonnada and others are in the cast. Camera is by Shyam Dutt, music is by Mankanth Quadri, lyrics are by Vanamali, while Sekhar Kammula and Chandrasekhar Kammula are the producers.
