The first copy of Ankusam directed and produced by VK Vijaykumar Reddy under the banner of Pakhya Celluloids with Srinath and Ritesh as heroes would be ready by September 25. Producer cum director says, "It is a family entertainer with action in its backdrop. It has all kinds of elements for the average audiences. We are going to launch the audio on September 25 and are making efforts to release the film in October. We did not compromise on quality and spent heavily as per the demand of the story. It is the story of a wayward youth and a sincere police officer, who jointly save a family caught in the cobweb of mafia. Hence the story has action, entertainment and love too. While Srinath plays the wayward youth, Ritesh plays the sincere police officer and Santeeta plays the role of a doctor with Keerthi Chawla as another heroine in the movie." Anitha, Uttej, Sriman, Jayaprakash Reddy, Rallapalli, Mallikarjuna Rao, Telangana Sakuntala, Anand Raj, Tirupati Prakash, Ponnambalam and others are in the cast. Lyrics are by Sahiti, music is by Manohar, camera is by Amar, editing is by M Shankar and K Itrish, while story, dialogues, screenplay, production and direction are by VK Vijaykumar Reddy.
