Ali and Suprena are playing the lead in a film to be directed by MS Srichand and produced by Usha Singamsetty under the banner of Sri Sai Durga Arts. The formal launch of the film was held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on November 17. Popular producer Lagadapati Sridhar gave the clap, senior artiste Chalapati Rao switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised under the honorary direction of SV Krishna Reddy.

Addressing the media, director Sri Chand said, "I worked as assistant to senior directors B Gopal and Sarat. I am experimenting with a novel and different screenplay for this film. It is not a story for comedy, but a story with comedy as the basic theme behind the screenplay. Ali is playing the role of a youth, who doesn't want to harm anyone and likewise others should not cause any harm to him. The first schedule would continue till November 28. We will complete the talkie part with the second schedule from December 1 till the month-end. We will take up the canning of songs in January."

Ali said, "I agreed to play the hero immediately after listening to the story. The subject has all kinds of elements that could attract the audiences."

Heroine Suprena said, "This is my second film and really this is a challenging role."

Malishka, Ravibabu, Raghubabu, Chalapati Rao, MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Krishna Bhagawan, Jeeva, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Melkote, Chitram Sreenu, Jhansi, Jayalalitha, Prasoona, Nikhita and others are in the cast. Script is by Vempalli Baba, dialogues are by Dasari Brahmam, music is by Koti, lyrics are by Chaitanya Prasad and Abhinaya Srinivas, camera is by N Sudhakar Reddy, editing is by Ramgopal Reddy, while story, screenplay and direction are by MS Srichand.
