Actress Mamta Mohandas made her debut into Telugu films not only as a heroine, but also as a good singer. This versatile artist is celebrating her birthday on November 14.

Speaking on the occasion, she says, 'I became famous and earned good recognition through the Telugu film industry. So I like Telugu film industry very much and I will concentrate on Telugu films. However, I have decided not to sing item songs henceforth. Moreover, I am getting more opportunities For acting than singing. So I will sing only for positive roles. The success of Yamadonga gave me immense satisfaction. My role in that film had brought me several opportunities. Presently, I am acting opposite actor Jagapatibabu in director JD Chakravarthy's Homam, another film being directed by P Vasu in which actor Vishnu is playing the lead, and a film being directed by Ravi C Kumar on the banner of RR Movie Makers with actor Nithin as hero. I am also acting opposite actor Sudeep in a Kannada film.'
