Ram's Ongole Githa is a old routine revenge drama in Mirchi Yard backdrop. Bommarillu Bhaskar, well known for family entertainers, directed a mass film for the first time.
Adhikeshavulu (Prakash Raj) is the chairman of mirchi yard. He acts as a good samaritan but he is cunning and dangerous in nature. No one on this earth, other than Durga (Ajay), knows his real character including his wife, mother and daughter (Kriti Kharbanda). White (Ram) comes to the mirchi yard as an orphan and joins there as a labour. He is an energitic guy with brains. He impresses the people at market yard in no time. Why White has come to mirchi yard and why Adhikeshavulu acts good in front of people forms rest of the story.
Ram's high voltage energy is not utilized properly. His character is routine and he didn't get chance to show his strengths to the fullest. His dancing skills are also not used except for 'Chal Challe' song. Prakash Raj's character is highlight of the film. Kriti Kharbanda is confined to navel show. Prabhu played the role of Ram's father and he is good.
It is an outdated revenge drama. Raghavendra Rao directed dozens of films of this kind two decades ago, though mirchi yard backdrop and villain character makes difference. You may watch this film for a small reason called Prakash Raj.
