1940 lo Oka Gramam movie which won a National Award for Best regional film (Telugu), is directed by Narasimha Nandi.
This movie narrates the story of a village in the pre-independence era and the movie fiddles with the theme of Caste and Rich-Poor divide. The film also won 4 Nandi Awards. Bala Aditya and Sri Ramya played the lead roles in this film.
