Actor Akshay Kumar is all set to play with the khatra on the show 'Khatron Ke Khailadi 4' on Colors. While promoting the reality show, Akshay performed a LIVE stunt to prove that there are no body doubles used on the show and all the stunts shown are for real.
When asked if he is scared before doing the stunt? The actor answered, “I do feel fear but I call it good fear'. The fear of not being able to pull off the stunt carefully...the fear of losing my loved ones...if I don't take care of myself."
He continued, "A good stunt-man is one who performs a stunt and comes out without even a scratch or a bruise. I did not let any phobia get to me. I still remember, I was learning how to ride a horse for producer Pramod Chakravarthy's film. I did not know how to ride a horse. I fell off, but Jeetu Varma, who was teaching me, told me to jump back and said if I get scared right now then for the rest of my life I will never ever ride a horse. I just got up - he made sure I jumped."
Akshay feels that fear is psychological and one needs to conquer the mind to overcome it. He informed that he is doing the same with the 16 female contestants on the show. "The idea is to train all contestants mentally. Actually fear is developed in the mind. It is not that you can't do it -- believe me any one can do stunts. So this is where I test the fear factor in them (contestants). I not only see how physically fit they are but also how strong they are mentally," he told.
"I did the stunt after five years. The last stunt I did was for a film and that was five years ago. I don't even remember it. I had stopped doing stunts because my son was small... now he is nine and I want to do them again," Akshay added.
