Aladdin comes to life on Zee

Adding an all-new dimension of fantasy to its popular weekend primetime slot, Zee TV is proud to announce the launch of an exciting new series Aladdin starting on Friday, November 16 at 9:30 pm.

Commenting on the launch of the series, Mr. Punit Goenka, Network Operating Officer, ZEEL, said "The launch of Aladdin in the weekend primetime is a part of Zee's constant endeavor to innovate and enter fresh domains of entertainment. Fantasy as a genre is relatively unexplored and Aladdin with its magical appeal, novel treatment and exciting special effects will definitely connect with the audience."


The show will bring alive on the small screen, the popular story of Aladdin that we have all grown up on. Narrating a folk tale like never before, the show boasts of amazing special effects that are bound to strike an instant connect with children across the country.

The show tells the tale of 15-year-old Aladdin who loses his parents under a cloud of mystery when he is young. The show follows him on his journey through a maze of curious developments in his life as he stumbles upon the magic lamp, crosses swords with the villainous Jaffer, manipulates the jolly Djinn to his advantage and falls in love with Princess Jasmine.

The show produced by Applause Entertainment&Sagar Arts has a fresh, young and vibrant cast comprising Mandar who essays the title role, Nazea Hasan as Princess Jasmine and Ranvijay Razdan of Kasam Se and Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai fame who plays the evil Jaffer.

To catch young Aladdin as he woos the lovely Princess Jasmine and combats the evil moves of Jaffer, tune into Zee TV at 9:30 pm, Friday to Sunday.
 

Aamir's Ghajini to clash with Aladdin

The release date of Ghajini has been shifted yet again. Initially slated for October 2, the Aamir Khan starrer was shifted to November 28 a fortnight ago. But the release has been shifted yet again and this time, the date seems to be final: December 25 (Christmas). Last year, Aamir's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par was released in the Christmas week (December 21) and now, Ghajini will open in Christmas this year.

Riteish Deshmukh is mastering Capoeira

Riteish Deshmukh is training in Capoeira A Brazilian art form comprising of dance, martial arts and games. He has employed the services of a French trainer and apart from his fees Riteish is also paying for his accommodation and living expenses, for the time he lives in Mumbai.
