Muran Movie Review
As Cheran said before, Muran is a thriller but different from his earlier venture Yuddham Sei. Directed by newcomer Rajan Madhav, the latest movie is intriguing and a thrilling ride. It has a thin storyline yet engages you till the end.

Musician Nanda (Cheran) is having troubles in his married life. His marriage with Indhu (Nikita Thukral) is turning out to be nightmare for him. At this stage, he encounters a wealthy, gabby ne'er-do-well Arjun (Prasanna) and before you wonder what's happening, you will see them together on a road trip. The journey starts revealing their painful past life and their lifestyle. The two men's contradicting ideologies, their tensions and conflict of thoughts make the story interesting. As the story progresses, Nanda, who is a soft-spoken introverted man, finds a solution for his troubled life from Arjun. Well, Arjun hatches a scheme whereby he will do a murder for Nanda if latter will do one for him. What happens next should be seen on-screen.

Cheran and Prasanna have given their best for the characters played by them. Both the actors are excellent in their roles and the debutant director could not have expected more from them. Rest of the cast like Nikhita, Haripriya Suma Bhattacharya, and Jayaprakash are okay.

Director Rajan Madhav's plot is made of ingenuity and amorality. The filmmaker's way of telling the story in a rapid speed should be praised. In fact, he has framed every scene in an excellent manner, which is the major highlight of the movie. It is probably one such story, which has not been narrated in Kollywood in the recent years. Music scored by Sajjan Madhav is not up to the mark but he has compensated it with his background score. Padmesh's cinematography is good in Muran.

Verdict:
On the whole, the story is convincing and has its moments. Though, there are some flaws, yet it goes unnoticed, as the story runs in a rapid pace. Watch Muran to have some thrilling moments.
