With Vishal"s previous films Sathyam and Thoranai turning as big disappointments, his latest flick Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai was looked forward with great expectation. Vishal, with an image makeover in the film, came with three beautiful gals to juice the theater. Debutant Director Thiru was successful with the script of his first film..can be said.
Karthik (Vishal) is the only son of his parents who is brought up with lots of pampering. He is graduate in business. Karthik is very much choosy in life. He goes for so many options to get the best of all. Even if it a mobile or a shirt, he turns choosy. At such a point of time he repeats his same attitude in selecting his lifer partner. He comes across three beautiful girls, Tanushree Dutta (Jyothi), a sports woman who keeps reservations with men, Sarah Jane (Priya), who is very much traditional in all aspects and Neetu Chandra (Tejaswini), a millionaire in town. As expected all the three fell in love with Karthik. The suspense deals as to whom Karthik choose as his partner for life time, which is indeed the real twist.
Vishal, in new makeover, is apt for the role and has cleanly executed his part. Sarah looks gorgeous and all the three girls have done their roles well. Santhanam, as usual has given counter jokes in his usual style. Prakash Raj and all the others looks perfect in their roles.Sneha and Mallika Kapoor appear in a cameo role.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music, can be said as average but the cinematography is excellent. The movie is presented by Sun Pictures and Produced by G K film corporation. There is nothing much in the movie that is to be pointed out. Just an average flick executed with lots of colours. Targetted for youth and they will enjoy it!
