Manmadhan Ambu is yet another deadly combination of superstar Kamal Hassan and director KS Ravikumar. The duo has always given some big hits to the industry and this is going to be one more addition to that list. The film also stars talented actors like Madhavan, Ramesh Aravind, Trisha, Sangeetha and Urvashi in important roles. For the first time, Trisha is acting with Kamal's film and Madhavan is also uniting with the veteran after their critically acclaimed film Anbe Sivam in 2003. Story:
The film has more than half of the scenes shot across Europe and a on a cruise ship. Manmadhan Ambu tells the story of three individuals, Major Mannar (Kamal Haasan), Ambujakshi (Trisha) and industrialist Madhan Gopal (Madhavan). Actress Sangeetha essays the role of a divorcee woman Deepa, who has two kids. She is a close friend of Ambujakshi. Oviya plays the cousin of Madhan.

Madhan is a suspicious lover of Ambujakshi and this nature of his leads to fights between them always. An irritated and suspicious Madhan assigns a private detective Mannar to keep an eye on his girl, when she goes for a vacation abroad. The detective takes up the job in one condition that Madhan has to bear the medical expenses of his close friend Rajan (Ramesh Aravind), who is suffering from cancer. At the same time, Deepa also goes for a vacation with kids to Paris. The hilarious satiations start from here with some interesting flashbacks. It shows the commando life of Mannar and Madhan's accident.

Performance:
As expected Kamal Hassan steals the show throughout the film. Audience will enjoy his rib tickling funny styles all the way. Trisha has done an amazing job and Madhavan is excellent. Sangeetha, Ramesh Arvind, Urvashi and others have done justice to their roles. Manush Nandan's cinematography is mesmerizing and Devi Sri Prasad's music and background have perfectly blended with the story. And finally, we should appreciate Ravikumar for his tight screenplay and direction.

The movie is a Christmas treat for his Tamil film goers. Do not miss the movie.

dr.kamal hassan, the doctorate is really a waste.the university which gave this award should take it back or else it is a shame on the university.a man who has got a doctorate should act responsibly and give healthy films for a better society.this film is horrible and corrupt.kamal learn from late Dr.RAJKUMAR of SANDALWOOD who has shown how to be a responsible and able HERO.

what a rip off! an older widower stealing a young fresh single already committed actress form her lover and a divorced flirt with 2 kids, only after money lusting after a rich single guy who happens to be her best friends lover and the flirt's kids accepting the rich guy as their dad right after that boy was furious on the actress for having an affair with his iroginal dad! where is the culture, dignity, ethics? are these people dogs and go after each other in heat?
