Mani Ratnam and Mahesh Babu's combo film seems to be in trouble as the actor is out of the project. This is happening for the second time after their much-hyped Ponniyin Selvan failed to materialise.

The buzz says that Mahesh Babu has walked out of the forthcoming movie, thereby putting the project in trouble. The reason for opting out is not known yet. However, it is reported that Mani Ratnam, without worrying much, has started the hunt for his replacement. Earlier, they had planned to work in historical movie Ponniyin Selvan. But the mega-budget flick was shelved after starting the pre-production work due to monetary reasons.

Mahesh Babu Puts Mani Ratnam Project In Trouble?

As far as other cast is concerned, another Telugu superstar Nagarjuna has given his consent to act in the film. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been approached and it is not sure whether the Bollywood actress has given her nod. In the meantime, Shruti Hassan has signed the film to play a key role.

Arvind Swamy has also been roped in to play an important role. The forthcoming Tamil flick will kick-start in June. Other details about the project are yet to be revealed. Well, Mani Ratnam's favourite AR Rahman is likely to score the music for this flick too.
