Ajith's Arrambam To Be Remade By Akshay Kumar?

Bollywood's obsession towards South remakes seems to have continued as yet another hit from Tamil films is getting ready to be remade in Hindi films. Recently, we read about Ajith Kumar's Veeram being remade in Hindi with the likely cast of Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. Now, his last-year hit flick Arrambam is ready to go to B-Town.

Yes, if rumours are to be believed, Akshay Kumar has got the remake rights of Ajith Kumar's Arrambam. The Bollywood star has been in touch with A Raghuram through his close aides and has finally managed to bag the remake rights of Arrambam. The actor had seen the film when the Tamil film had hit the screens last November.

Akshay Kumar is reportedly happy with the content and he believes that the story would suit his image, say rumour mills. However, the official confirmation is awaited and we have no clue about the cast and crew of the flick. There are also rumours doing rounds that director Vushnuvardhan himself would helm the project.

It was earlier reported that both Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan were in the race to bag the remake rights. But in the end, it is Akki, who has successfully got the rights. Continue reading the story on the slideshow...

Arrambam Cast

Arrambam was an action thriller starring Ajith Kumar, Nayantara, Taapsee Pannu and Arya in the lead roles. Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar, Suman Ranganathan and Atul Kulkarni were in the supporting cast.

Story

The Tamil movie was about a honest cop's revenge against the people, who were involved in the death of his close friend played by Rana Daggubati.

Highlights

Ajith Kumar's strong screen presence, Nayantara's good performance, Arya's comic acts backed by Taapsee's charm have played major role in the film's success.

The film had Yuvan Shankar Raja's music, Om Prakash's cinematography and A Sreekar Prasad's editing.

Box Office

Arrambam was the biggest hit of Tamil film industry in 2013. It had made more than Rs 50 crores at Tamil Box Office.
