"We have not called anyone terrorists in the film. We haven't taken sides, We probably will show them (those opposing the film) the film," Abraham told reporters.

In July, pro Tamil outfits Naam Thamizhar (We Tamilians) founder Seeman, had seeked the ban on the movie by learning that, it has portrayed Liberation Tigers Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in bad light. Madras Cafe deals with true events based on a covert operation conducted in Sri Lanka against LTTE in the late 90s.And Seeman also demanded to watch the preview of the movie before its actual release.

"We haven't showed anyone as terrorists, we have tried our best to show both the sides of the coin and we stuck to the story," John added. John also said that, they are talking to distributors in Sri Lanka for the release of the film there.

John Abraham plays the role of a RAW agent, who will be involved in the covert operation in Sri Lanka. Nargis Fakhri, Prosenjit Chaterjee and Rashi Khanna will be seen in the lead roles. The flick is directed by Shoojit Sircar.
