Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam 2 shot at Bangkok airbase

Kamal Hassan's prestigious project Vishwaroopam 2, a sequel to Vishwaroopam, is being filmed in Thailand. Along with the lead stars, the other casts like Shekar Kapur and Andrea Jeremiah are part of the latest shooting schedule.

The actor-turned-director is shooting the film at a rapid pace and is keeping the developments under secret to generate curiosity among audience. The first instalment was entirely shot in the US and Afghanistan. Now, Vishwaroopam 2 is being filmed in Asian countries.

Vishwaroopam 2 has been shot in Thailand and the team even shot scenes at the Bangkok airbase. Actor-filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, who is playing a supporting role in the film, has thrown light on it.

"Filming Vishwaroopam 2 at Bangkok airbase. Complex camera rigging for action sequence," Kapur posted on his Twitter page along with a picture depicting a busy scene with several crew members surrounding an aircraft. Kapur also posted another photograph clicked from perhaps below the aircraft's nose cone. "Interesting angle? Vishwaroopam 2 filming at Bangkok airbase," he added.

However, Shekhar Kapur has avoided posting the picture, which has lead stars. It may be because the film unit does not want to give away details about the film at the moment.

Vishwaroopam 2 is a bilingual espionage thriller simultaneously made in Hindi and Tamil. The first instalment of the film became one of the biggest hits in Tamil film industry.

Vishwaroopam was made with the budget of Rs 95 crores. The film faced lots of hurdles before getting released in Tamil Nadu this year.

A section of community opposed the film claiming that their community was shown in bad light. Fearing law and order issues, the state government banned the film for 15 days before finding a peaceful solution to the issue.
