Selvaraghavan's ambitious Irandam Ulagam is facing a threat of becoming a big loser at the Tamil Box Office. After making it with a lavish budget, the film has miserably failed to keep the cash registers ringing and pull the audience to theatres.
Irandam Ulagam garnered a good opening at the Tamil Box Office. The film was released on November 22 with a huge expectation. But the film failed to impress mass audience. Except a section of audience including Selvaraghavan and Arya's fans, the film has let down the viewers in large.
The film had approximately collected Rs 7+ in the opening weekend in the state. The bad word-of-mouth played a spoilsport for Irandam Ulagam, as it failed to keep the same momentum. By the end of 10 days, it has reportedly added four crores to its total.
Traders say that Irandam Ulagam has approximately collected Rs 11.13 crores by the end of 10 days. The film is reportedly made with the budget of Rs 45 crores and it is likely to suffer a huge losses for the producer.
Ajith Kumar's Arrambam, Pizza 2: Villa and few other movies have also affected the collections of Irandam Ulagam. The movie, which stars Arya and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles, impressed the audience with the technical departments but the story part disappointed the cine-goers.
