Yes, superstar Rajinikanth's magnum opus Kochadaiyaan, which is made in multiple languages including Hindi, and Salman Khan's Dabangg 2 will be releasing during the same time in December 2012.
It was earlier announced that Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan will be released on the unique date (12.12.12) which also coincides with the superstar's birthday. Now, the latest reports have confirmed that Salman Khan's Dabangg will be hitting the screens a week after the Rajini's film. The makers of the Tamil actor's movie are planning for a massive release and leaving no stone unturned to capture the Bollywood market. This will create a fight for supremacy at the Box Office, add reports.
On the other end, Dabangg 2 starring Salman Khan, who is on a dream run with his last three movies joining 100 cr club and his latest Ek Tha Tiger is ready to register its name, is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year. Considering the success of his recent movie, the makers of the film will try to release much-larger than Ek Tha Tiger that would definitely affect the Rajinikanth starrer movie.
Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan is a mega-budget film directed by his daughter Soundarya Ashwin. It features Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar and others in the cast. It is a period film that is inspired by Pandya king Kochadaiyaan Ranadheeran and it is a fictional account of the ruler.
Whereas, Dabangg 2 is the sequel to Dabangg and it is a mass-masala flick. Produced and directed by Arbaaz Khan, the forthcoming movie features Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj and Vinod Khanna in the important roles.
