Murugadoss admits stealing a poster for Thuppakki
How often will you see a director admitting that he stole something from other's work? Well, AR Murugadoss stands different from others, as he has said that one of the posters of his upcoming Thuppakki is inspired by English film An Officer and a Gentleman.

AR Murugadoss has said that a still from Thuppakki has some resemblances with An Officer and a Gentleman. According to him, if we admire something, it sub-consciously finds a place in our work. However, the still had striking resemblances with 1982s Hollywood movie An Officer and a Gentleman directed by Taylor Hackford.

The poster of Richard Gere (wearing navy outfit) lifting Debra Winger (sporting his hat) in his arms, and Kajal resting in police-uniform clad Vijay were similar.

Thuppakki features Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal and Vidyut Jamwal in the leads. The movie is set in Mumbai, and Ilayathalapathy plays the role of a cop. The movie produced by Kalaipuli Dhanu will hit the screens on November 9.
