Legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar has slammed Dhanush's sleeper hit song 'Kolaveri Di' by calling it as an ordinary song. He believes that the tune, the words and singing are below standard.
He took Twitter bandwagon, like most of the celebrities, to express his views on 'Kolaveri di'. He wrote, “Every one is praising the robes but the emperor is naked. Tune ordinary, singing substandard. words an insult to sensibility… Some get over awed by success but to me it is only the quality that matters."
He further adds, “Ideally what is desirable is success with quality Even If bad taste is in the cover of “personal taste" at least I don"t find acceptable.(sic)"
It did not take much time for the fans of Dhanush and 'Kolaveri di' track to abuse him for his statement. Reacting to those, he tweeted, “Its a barrage of comments about my comment on KOLA...some are calling me jealous, even abusing me, others praising me for belling the cat."
