Trade analysts say that Mangaatha ran to packed houses in Tamil Nadu as well as in Malaysia and Singapore. The occupancy on its first day stayed around 90 to 95 percent, claims a source. The Tamil movie did not have competition from any other movie, which helped it to do a roaring business at the Box Office.
As a proof for the hype, the shows of Mangaatha started around 5 AM at some theatres in Chennai. The movie, which was released in more than 350 screens, has reportedly saw 100% collections in most of the cinema halls in the capital city of Tamil Nadu. Industry insiders say that a last Tamil movie, which received such a grand opening was superstar Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran.
Happy producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri shared his joy with his fans on Twitter. He wrote, “I'm a Proud producer who can walk with my collar high for giving such a movie which has satisfied Thala fans n all who had put money. Mangaatha has got the biggest opening !!!
