Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya was one of the biggest hits of Tamil directed by Gautham Menon. And it was said that VTV was going to get a Hindi remake. Now Ambika Hinduja's Serendipity Films has picked up the rights of VTV Hindi, which is going to be directed by Gautham Menon himself.

And turning to cast, Gautham is in search for the apt cast in the film and Prateik Babbar is being considered to play Silambarasan"s role. Jessie's role will be played by Trisha itself. Gautham wants to use the same tunes of Rahman for Hindi VTV as well but the BGM will be reworked again for Hindi as the story is set to happen in Goa instead of Kerala.

Trisha was busy with her debut Bollywood movie Khatta Meetta opposite Akshay Kumar and the shooting has almost completed. Soon she will join for VTV remake.
