Mani Ratnam honoured in Venice

Mani Ratnam was honoured with Jaeger-LeCoultre 'Glory to the Filmmaker Award' at the 67th Venice Film Festival. The director along with his wife Suhasini and actor Vikram attended the mega event in Italian nation. Aishwarya Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan could not attend the fest.

Mani's was felicitated for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. The nine-time national award winner's recent movie Tamil movie Raavanan was also screened at the function.

Earlier, Takeshi Kitano, Abbas Kiarostami, Agnès Varda, and Sylvester Stallone were the other directors, who were honoured with this award.

it is great to hear this news.saying that i regret to say indian government didnt recognised this great director.even though is films got national awards he has not recieved one national award
