Vijay"s 51st film Kaavalan is fast on the heels of completion as the producers are planning to release the film for Diwali. The film started rolling much prior to the release of Vijay"s previous Sura, which bombed at box office. Recently the scenes involving Vijay and Asin were shot in the campus of VIT College in Vellore.
According to the sources, it has been revealed that filmmaker-producer Sakthi Chidambaram may acquire the rights of this film and release it under his banner of Cinema Paradise. With some of Vijay"s previous films turning to be colossal flops, the actor has been taking intense care over each scene so as to make sure that there are no rooms for flaws.
On the pars, Asin"s characterization will be equally important as Vijay. Especially, the second half is reported to of revolving around just 3 characters that includes Vijay, Asin and another girl.
Vidhyasagar has scored the music for this film and his previous albums with Vijay (Thirumalai, Ghilli and Kuruvi) have been chartbusters. The film also features Raj Kiran and Roja in vital roles. The original version Bodyguard had director Siddique himself playing the comedian role.
