Gemini Film Circuit, who has acquired South Indian remake rights of Bollywood blockbuster movie 3 Idiots, is in search of a director for Tamil version of the film. It has reportedly approached directors like Dharani, Vishnuvardhan and interestingly they have even approached director Shankar as well.
Industry sources says that Shankar, who has a track record of directing only original films might reject the offer on these lines. Adding to that he is fully busy with his upcoming project Endhiran and Gemini wants to start the movie by this November.
Actors Vijay and Madhavan have already given the nod to act in 3 Idiots Tamil version. Other details about the film are still under wraps.
