R.Veluchamy, manager of the popular comedian Vadivelu committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his house in Vadapalani.

According to the police he was suffering from some major ailment and so was in a depressed mood. No suicide note was recovered from the house.

Vadivelu later came to Veluchamy's house and made all arrangements after the police inquiries and postmortem to send the body for cremation to his village near Madurai. Vadivelu who is in deep grief said: "He was my manager for 15 years, a gentleman, always cool and a good friend."
