Sangeetha and Krish tie the knot

Actress Sangeetha,who became popular through films like Uyir, Dhanam and others got married to playback singer Krish at Arunachaleshwar Temple in the holy town of Thiruvannamalai.

The marriage was performed in accordance with the traditional Hindu rites on Sunday morning.
Several film personalities and friends attended the wedding. Filmmaker and musician Gangai Amaran, directors Bala (who gave a big break to Sangeetha in Pithamagan), Venkat Prabhu (Sangeetha's first on screen hero), Vijay, Dharani, Siva, Pandiyarajan, actresses Lakshmi Rai, Sripriya, Mumtaz, Maheshwari, Rahasya, Sridevi, Rajashree, actor Jeeva and his wife, Chinni Jeyanth and SPB Charan attended the wedding and blessed the couple.

Nayagan (Tamil), starring J.K. Ritesh, is being brought to Telugu audiences under the title Ankusam. Inspired by a Hollywood thriller, the film was a dark horse, when bigger movies with more established stars were performing abysmally at the box office. The film has now been dubbed with a few portions of the movie modified to appeal to Telugu audiences. J.K. Directed by Sival and produced by A. Venkatesh, Srimati Kalyanam (starring Sangitha) is being produced simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Producer Venkatesh said, "Earlier, I produced Sampangi in Telugu. This film is also on similar lines and has a very nice subject. We will wrap up the shooting by Vijayadasami. The character played by Sangeetha has two different shades and angles." Venu Madhav, Krishna Bhagawan, Raghubabu, M.S. Narayana and Sudha are in the cast. S.A. Rajkumar is composing some lilting.....

Maheswari gets married

South Indian actress Maheswari, cousin of noted actress Sridevi, was married to Jayakrishna, a software professional from Hyderabad, in a traditional ceremony at Sankara Mutt on Thursday morning. Actress Sridevi, her husband (noted Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor), popular heroines Meena, Sangeetha, actor-couple Manjula and Vijay Kumar were among the celebrities who attended the wedding. Hundreds of close relatives and film personalities also attended the function and blessed the couple. After the marriage, the newly-wed couple had darshan of the Lord.....
